About Us
A warm welcome to Tenterden Social Hub (previously Tenterden & District Day Centre) . We are a registered charity originally opened in 1980 by the Countess Mountbatten of Burma.
In the intervening 40 years, the centre has gone from strength to strength and today a number of other services and activities have been implemented for all types and ages of people.
These include;
-
Anyone over the age of 60 who likes to be socially active
-
People suffering with mid to moderate dementia
-
Anyone over 18 that is living with a learning or physical disability
These three key groups take place within our building but we also run services out-and-about in the local community including; meals-on-wheels, Helping Hands and a Community Transport service.
We have a whole team focus at the Social Hub with staff having the confidence and ability to work across different areas of the Charity.
