I took over as Chairman of Trustees of Tenterden Social Hub (previously Tenterden & District Day Centre), in July 2016. My recreational interests include playing in a Tennis League, Golf and The London Handel Society.

Spencer Goddard – CEO

I am the current Chief Executive Officer of Tenterden Social Hub, an innovative community based facility supporting the elderly and those suffering with a physical or learning disability. Gaining more than 20 years of experience in community based partnership roles and I have previously worked for the Marsh Academy, Kent County Council and Sussex Police Force.

My clear focus is on operational achievement and transformation, including developing and delivering initiatives that lead to greater efficiency and output, working very closely with all of my Team and other Stakeholders to continually develop this Charity further. I am a champion for local communities, small independent businesses and organisations by sharing good practice to ensure communities get the support they deserve and is accessible to all.

I have been married for 13 years to Nicola and we have two children, living locally in Hamstreet. We are an active family enjoying walking, camping and a wide range of sports including; football, golf, swimming and running. Previously I was the Chair of Governors at Hamstreet Primary School allowing me to oversee the ongoing development of the school and also a Parish Councillor.

My professional experience has been developed through my enjoyment supporting my local community, organising events and raising funds for charities including; Kent Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance, Kent MS Therapy Centre and The Pilgrims Hospice. More recently I have, to my friend’s surprise, taken part in 3 marathons which are a personal battle but proving anyone can complete 26.2 miles.
